Monthly Board Meeting (November 10, 2008)

Call To Order:
The November 2008  DPA Community Board Meeting was held at Lake Tapps Elementary and was called to order by President Joe Muscarnera at 7:01 p.m.

Attendance:
Attendees included President Joe Muscarnera, Secretary David Thorsen, Justin Nimick, Pat Cavanaugh, Ron Wilderman, and Jerry Blessing.  Scott Thorsteinson, Justin Carlo and Liz Johnson were excused.

Members in attendance: Stan Barber & Liz Parmely

Approval of previous minutes:
The October 2008 Board Meeting minutes were read by David Thorsen, seconded and approved.

Treasurer’s Report:
Ron reported:

1.     Year to date we are roughly $1,600 under budget, mainly due to being $3000 ahead in revenue.

2.     October expenses were over the budgeted amount due to labor.

3.     Roughly 64k in the money market and 3k in the checking accounts.

President’s Report
Joe Muscarnera briefly outlined the agenda.  He reported the following:

1.     Santa Ride; Tim is available and schedule, with Toni a TBD

2.     2009 Budget; the finance committee needs to be scheduled.

3.     Election of 09 Trustees: Justin, Dave, and Joe expiring.

The park has been winterized, cans gone, but the geese are back

Lake Tapps Community Council Meeting:
Ron reported that the next scheduled meeting was for November 22^nd.  The y are trying to get representatives Roach, Bunney, etc to attend the meeting.

Open Discussion:
It looks like the home on 181^st and Driftwood will be going to auction in December.

A suggestion for junk cars can be made to Eric for county procure.
