Driftwood Point Board Meeting

Date: March 1, 2004
Location:  Jean Julum’s Home

Meeting was called to order by Chuck Romeo at 7:10pm.
Attendants: Don & Ann Fisher, Joe Muscarnera, Tim Wilson, Mark Newbauer, Devin Graham, Jean Julum, Chuck Romeo, Bob Lee and Ann Beurskens.

Excused:  Becky Ojala

A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes by Floyd White and seconded by Ann Beurskens. All approved.

We did not review treasury report at this time.

 Old Business:
(1)    
Taxes: Becky is working with Cal Jorgensen about our taxes.
(2)     DWP vs. Terhune: Verdict went to Terhune. DWP has chosen not to seek an appeal. The court case is over.
(3)     No update on by-laws with Joe Muscarnera and Al Krininger.
(4)     Mike Steele has been able repair posts at the ball park. Chuck to call the park attendant to find the cable that went across the entrance.
(5)     Wash. vs. Evans: Court date was Feb 5th/No update at this time.
(6)     The Edward Jones account has been closed

Correspondence:
There is nothing new at this time.

New Business:
(1)                
We reviewed a possible proxy card for the proposed dues increase.
(2)                 The “laketappsnews.com” website looks really good.
(3)                 Tim Wilson presented his findings on the status of the DWP Budget. It doesn’t look good for DWP if no changes are made. Future meetings will be required.
(4)                 Floyd White is retiring from the board. We would like to Thank Floyd for his HUGE contributions to the Point both in time and labor. The Board will miss you Floyd.

Motions Decided Upon:
A motion was made to propose a one time assessment and to raise the annual dues for DWP by Floyd White and seconded by Jean Julum. All approved.

The next board meeting will be April 5th, 2004, at 7:00pm at a location to be determined.
