Driftwood Point Board Meeting

Date: June 3rd, 2004
Location:  Lake Tapps Elementary

Meeting was called to order by Chuck Romeo at 7:04pm.

Attendants: Chuck Romeo, Ann Beurskens, Ron McOsker, Lisa Graham, Jean and Will Julum, Devin Graham, Toni and Bob, and Sandra Halford.

Excused:

A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes for May 6th by Ron McOsker and seconded by Ann Beurskens. All approved.

A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes for May 13th by Ann Beurskens and seconded by Jean Julum. All approved.

A motion was made to approve the financial statements by Ann Buerskens and Seconded by Ron McOsker. All approved.

 Old Business:
(1)    
Wash. vs. Evans: Wages will be garnished when the guilty party gets out of jail. No ETA at this time. Dollar amount owed is $706.21

(2)     Income Taxes are still not complete. Devin called Cal Jorgenson to push the issue of completing our taxes and to get us current. We are working on the Profit vs. Non Profit status with the IRS.

(3)     No news from Mr. Terhune on providing information on fixing/repairing the park’s drain field.

(4)     Park Rules for 2004 are complete and posted on the DWP website.

(5)     Ron McOsker followed up Denny Westgard for the as built for the park drainfield. No luck. He will now look to the county for this. He will also contact a licensed individual and ask him about the Park Septic System.

 New Business:
(1)                
We are asking if we want to have a reactivation fee to turn park cards back on that have been turned off.
(2)                 We will be cutting down the dead trees in the park this year.
(3)                 Bathrooms will be open  with attendants on duty Monday – Friday 11-7 and Saturday and Sunday will be from 9-9 equaling 64 hours a week for attendants.
(4)                 Jean will be talking to Mike Bykonen about his hours and duties this year. He has an hourly wage totaling $5500.00 available this year.

 Motions Decided Upon:
Ron McOsker made a motion to repay the DWP homeowner’s loan through Key Bank within 4 years or less. The homeowner took out a personal loan to front the money or the DWPMC legal defense and budget shortfall. The repayment total through 4/27/04 is $33,687.31. Applicable interest will apply to future payments. Jean Julum Seconded and it was approved by all.

The next meeting will be the Annual Meeting June 12th, 2004, at 2:00pm at the DWP Park.

A motion to adjourn was made by Ron McOsker and seconded by Ann Beurskens and agreed upon by all.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:28pm.
