All approved Old Business: (1) Wash. vs. Evans: Wages will be garnished when the guilty party gets out of jail. No ETA at this time. Dollar amount owed is $706.21 (2) Income Taxes are still not complete. Devin called Cal Jorgenson to push the issue of completing our taxes and to get us current. We are working on the Profit vs. Non Profit status with the IRS. Devin now has a number to talk to non profit to see if we have applied and/or what we need to do to apply. (3) No news from Mr. Terhune on providing information on fixing/repairing the park’s drain field. (4) No update: Ron McOsker will now look to the county for this. He will also contact a licensed individual and ask him about the Park Septic System. (5) The vote for by laws has resulted in no by law changes. (6) The trees have been cut down in the park and the debris is nearly gone. Correspondence: We discussed at length the letter
from Joe Muscarnera’s attorney about DWP following RCW 64 and RCW 24 or face the
possibility of legal action from his attorney. The budget seems to be the hot
item as it has not gone up for an approval from the community. (1) Toni welcomed the new board. (2) Sandy gave a treasurers report (3) Joe volunteered to be on a cost analysis committee with Lisa Graham, Sandy Halford, Tim Wilson, and Dorthy Muoio, and Don Fisher to check into current expenditures and cost’s associated with running the Point an the park. (4) Park Update: Bathrooms will be open with attendants on duty Monday – Thursday 11-7 and Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be from 9-9 weather permitting (if the weather is bad, the attendants have been asked to go home an save the hours). (5) The park septic tank did back up on the 4th of July resulting in the need to have it pumped at an approx. cost of $300.00. (6) We updated a form for Herbs towing to authorize them to tow vehicles. This was done as a result of a call to tow a trailer and they did not show up until after the owner did. They will be given one more chance and if they do not show again, we will be seeking a new tow company. (7) Shawn Bunney has stated that if DWP gives him a letter requesting a need for sidewalks to keep our members safe, he will present it along with his own letter to the county. (8) Lisa asked the question if we want to proceed with leins: decision was reached to send certified letters to the homeowners before we do this. (9) Our park superintendent has requested help from the community in repairing the park sidewalks and trimming the huge hedge on the border of the park to try and get it down to a manageable level. Motions Decided Upon: No new motions at this time. The next meeting will be on August 2nd, 2004, at the DWP Park (weather permitting).
