READING AND APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 12, 2005 MINUTES: The minutes were read and approved by all trustees present.

REPORTS

PRESIDENT: Joe complimented Toni Jilek for her coordination of the Santa Ride and collection of non-perishables for the Sumner food bank. Bob Jilek reported there was enough collected to fill 4 large shopping carts plus a $400.00 cash contribution. Thanks to all who contributed and to Robert and Toni Jilek for delivering the collected food. The Santa ride provided a magical moment for all. Everyone got candy canes and some were fortunate enough to hug Santa. Participating, as Santa was Tim Wilson, as Mrs. Claus - Toni Jilek, Casey Wilson was Rudolph, Cameron and Amber Mynatt were elves; Chevelle Mynatt and Bob Jilek were helpers.

TREASURER: Ron Wilderman gave an encouraging financial report that showed a balance of approximately $40,000. After monthly expenses, he estimated we should have $27,000 remaining on May 1.

Ron described our foreclosure process for members with delinquent dues. He stated he is in contact with our collections attorney and wants the attorney to send out one more letter to the offending member being processed currently, outlining the additional financial consequences that will be faced due to the foreclosure action. Lacking an appropriate response, Ron will direct the attorney to proceed.

BY-LAWS COMMITTEE: Joe M stated he sent via e-mail some proposed changes for the By - Laws Committee to consider.

FINANCE COMMITTEE: Covered by Ron in Treasurers report.

OLD BUSINESS

REAL ESTATE SIGNS -Joe M reported that there were two trustees opposed and one for a process designed to limit signs put up by real estate agents to only in front of the for sale property. There wasn't an interest in pursuing this further.

2006 MAGNETIC CALENDARS TO MEMBERS The magnetic calendars have been received by members and a question came up as to why money (approximately $400) was spent for them. The reasons stated were that the trustees wanted to show appreciation to the members and hoped the presence of the calendars would prompt member meeting and committee participation. Cost was kept to the minimum in the hopes of achieving this. The calendars also listed the DPMC address, phone #, web site, and monthly meeting dates.

NEW BUSINESS:

VACANT TRUSTEE POSITION No action taken

UNKEMPT PROPERTIES No action taken

OPEN DISCUSSION: Dennis Schmit presented a finding resulting from his extensive researching of land owned by DPMC. He found that approximately 1/3 of lands DPMC is thought to own is not DPMC but PSE. The island, and a significant portion of the parking lot and the SE section of the park are owned by PSE. Kurt Krebs - PSE, who will possibly attend our February meeting, has proposed a remedy.

Dennis Schmit proposed that the foreclosure action (anonymous) be available on the web. It would furnish deterrent value possibly reducing delinquencies. Most present seemed to agree with this.

Ron Wilderman stated that his Finance Committee would be working on publishing dates for the annual meeting, boat sticker and gate card issues, 2006 budget, and other committee deliverables.

Chuck Romeo asked what could be done to keep the entrance and adjacent area tidier. After some discussion, it was referred to Jean Julum's Park Committee for action via the park superintendent and employees. Jean mentioned she has 3 permanent park volunteers - Bob Jilek, Ron McOsker, and Mark Neubauer.

A member expressed an interest is having a high level view of the budget available on the web. The Finance Committee will investigate.

Bob Jilek will check on height and other requirements for locking mailboxes in response to discussion and will report next month.

ADJOURN: The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 PM.
