Driftwood Point Board Meeting
Date: April 5th, 2004
Location: Lake Tapps Elementary School
Meeting was called to order by Chuck Romeo at 7:03pm.

Excused:
A motion was made to approve the meeting minutes by Chuck Romeo and seconded by
Ann Beurskens. All approved.
A motion was also made to approve the Treasury Report for
both February and March by Chuck Romeo and seconded by Ann Beurskens. All
approved.
Old Business:
(1)
Payroll Taxes: We owe six dollars total to be current on taxes. Becky
will pay it.
(2)
No update on by-laws with Joe Muscarnera and Al Krininger.
(3)
Wash. vs. Evans: Court date will be Feb 5th/No update at
this time.
(4)
Income Taxes are still not complete. Plan of action.
(5)
By-laws- Stan Baber and Joe Muscarnera will work more on by laws to
have something to review or perhaps vote on at the annual meeting.
Correspondence:
Joe Muscarnera has sent registered mail to request a review of DWP records. An
appointment to do this will be set at a later date.
New Business:
(1)
The appeal cost from the Terhune attorney is $1254.47 as indicated on
a bill from the attorney. DWP will pay this to complete the case.
(2)
Questions arose about the DWP board members and when their terms are
done and which positions are available. The board will look into this and
provide answers at the next meeting.
(3)
We spoke to Mike Bykonen’s wife and he is interested in returning at
park Superintendent. Pay will need to be discussed.
(4)
PSE signed the letter in finalizing the lake. Right now, the lake is
scheduled to be up from April 15th- October 31st every year.
(5)
Rob Terhune stated that porta pots are only $80.00 a month as opposed
to replacing the drain field. Rob will provide information on fixing/repairing
the parks drain field.
(6)
Michael Hickey donated $100.00 dollars towards Easter Egg Hunt. Thank
you very Much!
(7)
The vote at the special meeting on dues increase passed and the
results are posted on the DWP website.
(8)
Took some ideas for the new 5 year plan.
(9)
There have been several people that have shown interest both verbally
and via forms to become board members.
Motions Decided Upon:
There are no new motions at this time.
The next meeting will be May 6th, 2004, at 7:00pm at the
DWP Park.
A motion to adjourn was made by Ann Beurskens and seconded
by Kathleen Hickey and agreed upon by all.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10.
