APPROVAL OF MARCH 13, 2006 MINUTES:
The second order of business by your Board was the reading of the March 13, 2006 minutes.  At the conclusion the board unanimously approved the minutes.

RESIDENTS REPORT:
President Joe Muscarnera introduced the Board of Trustees and our association’s bookkeeper Jessica Hinke.   In addition, Joe outlined the evening’s agenda items.

FINANCIAL REPORT:
Treasurer Ron Wilderman presented a detailed financial report/analysis of our DPMC community’s financial status.

  1. As of March 13, 2006, we have $36,125.81 in checking and $500.00 in petty cash.
  2. Account receivables = $6,258.91.  The majority of these receivables are Community Point Members who are delinquent in their dues.
  3. The outstanding balance of the loan in $12,579.13

Ron reminded community members that two years ago when this elected Board of Trustee’s were voted into office our financial status was -$8,130.77 in the red.  Due to strong fiscal management of our community’s financial affairs we enter the 2006/2007-budget cycle solidly in the black.

Ron acknowledged the commitment of community members Stan Baber, Don Fisher, Joe Muscarnera, Tim Wilson and Bob Lee for sitting on the Finance Committee.  Many difficult decisions were made and recommended to the Board of Trustee’s for financial accountability of all community members.

2006/2007 BUDGET REPORT:
Ron provided an overview of the 2006/2007 Budget and recommended that due to our good financial health that we pay off the remaining loan balance of approximately $12,500.  Ron projected that by paying off the loan and adding a security line item to our budget of $12,000 he still anticipated a 2006/2007 ending balance of approximately $20,000.

At the conclusion of the 2006/2007 Budget presentations the following questions were asked from community members:

1.                  Members who live on North Sumner Tapps Highway asked if their dues could be reduced since they pay for their own street lighting.  Board members stated they would look at paying the cost of the streetlights as they do in the rest of Driftwood Point.

2.                  Members who live on North Sumner Tapps Highway questioned how they would benefit from proposed security patrols since they are not part of the main Driftwood Point street grid.  They advised that the private drives of 22nd, 23rd and 24th all support two to four residential homes and would like to be included in the patrols.  Bob Lee advised he would have that included in the scope of the bid process.

ELECTIONS OF TRUSTEE’S:
President Joe Muscarnera announced that all Trustee positions are open for elections. A total of eight community members placed their name on the ballot.  Ron Wilderman and Bob Lee will not be seeking a second term.

At the conclusion of the report two community members expressed an interest in serving on the Board.  Justin Carco and Dave Thorsen introduced themselves and requested they be considered as viable candidates for the open trustee positions.

OPEN DISCUSSION:

1.         Boat Stickers:            It was announced that boat stickers would be required if you plan on leaving your boat trailer in the park while out on the lake.

2.         Jordan Profitt will begin work on his revitalization project of our community baseball diamond.  Jordan is a member of the Boy Scouts of America and was granted approval by the Board to make much needed improvements.
