Please pass on to the park attendant(s) that although we know
they have a hard job at times, members such as myself do not
appreciate them yelling "slow down"
as we approach the gate to the boat launch. At no time did my
speed exceed the posted limit, especially while towing, or even
exceed what I would term good judgment speed. A squeaky or
noisy trailer can sometimes give the impression of speed in a
quiet surrounding as well. In my 28 years of living on
Driftwood Point I have seen many changes in our community, and
am proud to be one that has supported our park and improvements,
and drive responsibly.
Thank you.

DWP
members need to remember that by giving out their card to someone to
use the boat ramp or park is a violation of park rules. We had
several trailers parked in the boat launch area without stickers
over the 4th of July weekend and they belonged to friends, not
members. Vehicles and trailers parked in this area without the
proper stickers permanently stuck to the boat trailer in the proper
placement will be towed.
The board members or the park employees
aren't to blame, it is the fault of the member that "loaned" their
card. So, if you loan your card and your friend gets towed, you
get to figure out exactly who is responsible for paying for the
towing fees. And remember, there are 2 vehicles towed, and this
doubles the standard towing fees.
