REAL ESTATE SIGN RULES

Prohibition of Real Estate Signs at Entrance of Driftwood Point

Picture
You’ve probably noticed that Real Estate signs have been removed from our entrance. After many comments from community members expressing dissatisfaction with the overall appearance of our entrance, a majority of Trustees have voted to prohibit sign posting at our entrance. However, signs are permitted in front of the property being sold. The reasons for prohibiting signs at the entrance are:

1. Signs at the entrance create an unkempt appearance of our community.

2. Spending member’s monies to improve the entrance, while not addressing the unkempt appearance generated by the signs (that would tend to de-value the improvement), would be a violation of our fiduciary responsibilities as Trustees.

3. Real Estate signs can interfere with a driver’s view of traffic and thus endanger them and other drivers by creating an unsafe condition.
